You really have a point of view as a singer, and that's crazy if you were thirty-two, but the fact that you're able to do it at the age of sixteen is stunning.” - John Legend

Lauren Frihauf, The Voice, NPR Music, Tiny Desk, Top Shelf, Team Gwen, Team Legend, Denver music, Colorado music, vocalists

You might recognize Lauren from Season 19 of NBC's "The Voice", where she made it to the Knockout Rounds on Teams Gwen and Legend!  In a surreal moment, John Legend, Gwen Stefani, and Blake Shelton stood as Lauren finished her Knockout song, "Cry Baby", by Janis Joplin.

Lauren's vocals have been compared to Amber Navran, Joni Mitchell, Stevie Nicks, and Amy Winehouse. Her music is indie singer-songwriter, with folk and neo-soul elements. The urban vibe of her music is a surprising juxtaposition to the rural eastern Colorado farm where Lauren lives and creates.  Lauren was recently featured in NPR Music's Tiny Desk 'Top Shelf', and is currently recording new music she can't wait to share!

Lauren you have this really pretty angelic tone... just to be that artistic” - Kelly Clarkson
